Who was a resident of other rich country? When did she contract systemic lupus? At what age did she died? Her experience shows Lupus, Treatments, Health care, Rich country.
If Nikki White had been a resident of any other rich country she would be alive today. Nikki White contracted systemic lupus that’s a serious disease, if Nikki White had lived in Japan, France and Italy the Health care system there would have given her the Standard treatment for lupus. Finally Nikki White was a citizen of the world richest country, The United States of America, and Nikki White died when she was thirty two years old.
Ms. White’s death could be explained by two American values. Action and work orientation means that there is more emphasis on doing rather than being. In a positive way, she spent the last months of her life frantically writing letters and filling out forms, pleading for help. However, in this case, the negative is once she was sick she couldn’t get health insurance.
Another American value is Self-help. This means Americans give respect for self-achievements not achievements based on rights of birth. Again, this value has two sides. The positive way is The Health care system would give her the standard treatment for lupus. In a negative way she had too much money to qualify for Health care under welfare but too little money to pay for drugs and doctors.
I feel that Nikki White did have the opportunity to survive. For example, lines 6-9 says If she had lived in say Japan , France, Italy The health care system that they have would of have helped and given Nikki White the Perfect treatments for her disease. Unfortunately she spent the last months of her life frantically writing letters and filling out forms, pleading for help.
In Conclusion if Mrs. White is the world richest country of the United States of America why couldn’t she get Health insurance or visits France, Italy, Spain Health care systems that she would of find the treatment for her disease Mrs. White experience Show Lupus Treatments, Health care, Rich country.
Face To face learning
Learning Face to face, Online, and Hybrid can all be good for us in different ways to help us focus, understand and improve ourselves to be a better learner.
The advantages of learning face to face are better understanding, and communicating with other people. My classmates John thinks it’s very easy to pay attention, and learn new topics For example the teacher speaks clearly then write notes on the board. The disadvantages are students cannot come late to class or use electronic devices while the Professor is teaching.
The advantages of online learning are people can have a second chance, focus better without distraction, and have the chance to look over the works. For example during the presentation of Involuntary Medical Experimentation-A Global Perspective I experience understanding a lot of information was given. It was clearly to hear the presenter Beth lilac, and a much focus. Some disadvantages online learning are copying information from websites to add in your work and distraction on other things such as music, movie, face book, and playing games.
The advantage of hybrid learning is better opportunities to increase your skills or sharing ideas with students. My classmate Joanne ideas are Flexible schedule and better ability to work from different locations. Some disadvantages are students cannot combine information from a websites to online assignments or video chatting a friend for answers, and can’t do any other things unless someone gave them permission to. Finally you cannot miss important subjects and classwork.
In conclusion taking Face to face, Online, and Hybrid classes have different modality ways for us to be a letter learner and understanding.
" Volunteerism "
Volunteering can be good for us to experience new things, and develop new skills by learning from one another also helping people to accomplish what they want.
First off volunteering helps you make new friends, expand and boost your social skills. For example some people are outgoing others are shy and have a hard time meeting new people. Secondly volunteering support interest on helping people or a students that are having trouble doing homework assignment, asking direction, and other physical activities. Finally people can shared activity and work together.
The local volunteer options are good cause to help people to be successful, and understanding one another. I learned about Reading Partner’s and Partnerships Park Volunteer from the volunteering fair The reading opportunity are working one on one, with a students with individual attention, relationship, and the confidence ability can grow exponentially. Partnerships park opportunities are providing guidance with funding, marketing, materials, and other resources also design capital process through parks.
Personally I would not like to volunteer at this time because volunteering takes a lot of times to keep you busy. For example when I was volunteering in Queens’s village library for 6 hours, it was busy to help a lot of people with books, movies, computer research. I volunteer for 5 months, and stopped when I turn a senior in high school to focus more in school also going to work.
In conclusion volunteering can be good for us to help one another and develop our skills exponentially.
" Miss Evers Boys"
In 1932 county, Alabama, the federal government launched into a medical study called the Tuskegee Study of Untreated Blacks with Syphilis. The study selected 412 men infected with the disease, and faked long term treatment by giving them placebos and liniments. The movies name comes from a performing dancer and three musicians who name themselves “Miss Evers Boys.” All had the disease. The point of view of Nurse Eunice Evers that chosen to facilitate a program intended the curb syphilis among African Americans However she was able to help patients who have syphilis by injecting them with penicillin to make them feel better. Finally the Study of Medical experimentation did receive treatment and financial compensation after the Senate Investigation.
This movie is connected to “Human guinea pig” the German conducted a deadly experimentation on innocent people, prisoners. In addition they force prisoners to volunteer by lying to them about having a cure for their disease or offering them a gift cigarette, money, food, new clothes.
I personally think that Eunice Evers shouldn’t be punished for the causes of lying to the men or for the experiments because her dedication to these men’s and everything she tried to do to help them regardless of the consequences. It was sad that she was not able to do more. I am grateful that they were compensated somewhat for the suffering they had to endure.

CAT-W
According to this passage low-income teens, and kids who went to high- performing schools were less likely to participate in risky health behaviors than teens who attended schools that weren't as good. Researchers compared the behaviors of students in high-performing schools to those who attended schools that weren't good. This is one idea I think is significant, "Better education will lead to better health" Because Students engaged very risky behaviors, such as drinking large amounts of alcohol having unsafe sex and using hard drugs.
I personally experience that most students prefer learning in different ways such as Face to face, Online learning. Face to face learners think it best for them to understand better and taking good notes, and Online learners stay home and use a computer to do their assignments and other activities that way it good for them.
An evidence in this passage public health researcher, said the study is important the challenge a much larger number of schools that serve kids well at the university of California, and the teens who attended lower-performing schools took part in the unsafe behaviors because the teens were otherwise came from low-income.

Drone Strikes abroad
Should the United States continue its use Drone strikes abroad?
The United States should use drones. Drones help countries fight terrorist threats to their own peace and stability this is connected to a movie I’ve watched “The battle of Los Angeles” when droids are being used in war to fight terrorists and killed other environments.
First of all Drones makes U.S military personnel safer because drones are launched from bases in allied countries, and operated by pilots For example finding objects or an enemy, and it would be use often in distant locations where it would be dangerous for the U.S deploy teams and capture Terrorists. Secondly Drones strikes make the United States safer for the risk of injury and death that would occur such as war against In Pakistan, Yemen, and Afghanistan. Finally Drones can track or capture special forces including surrounding tribal communities, anti aircraft shelling, land mines, suicide bombers, dangerous weather conditions, and harsh environments it eliminate all those kind risks common to missions.
Drones Strike are legal under international law and U.S law For nations inherent right to self defense when it has been attacked. For example the UN is a special group force that being send to territory also operating within its territory to be responsible for an act of aggression against targeting state where the host state is unwilling or unable to control the threat themselves. However Presidential powers under the U.S constitution allow the use of force against an imminent threat without congressional approval, and the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, and terrorist attacks. Finally Drones are legal in order to appropriate force to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States.
The United States cannot risk falling behind the rest of the world in development of drone technologies. Active drones development programs run by governments, companies, and researchers institutes around the world more than 87 countries own some type of surveillance or attack drone, changing the way nations conduct war and threatening to begin a new arms race. In 2010 Iran unveiled what it claimed was its first armed drone, and China unveiled 25 drone models In 2011 there were 680 active drone. Last of all Drone pilots suffer less than traditional pilots because they do not have to be directly present on the battlefield, can live normal civilians life in the United States, and do not risk death or serious injury. Drones have contributed to a major in violence it kill innocent people, and some people think drones is a dangerous thing to use in public cities.
In Conclusion The United States should use drones. I personally think it is safe for the military to use it in war to protect themselves from getting into dangerous areas or any other battlefield, and having trouble fighting with the terrorists.

The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks
The Title of the book is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot The main character of this book name Henrietta Lacks, scientist know her as Hela. She was poor black women whose cells taken without her knowledge, and it became an important tools vaccine, cloning, gene mapping, and more. She had cervical cancer and she died on October 4, 1951.
Deborah and Zakariyya visited Lenguaver’s lab and see the cells for the first time. On May 11, 2001 Deborah, Zakariyya agreed to meet at the Hopkins Jesus statue to go see Henrietta’s cells. Deborah had warned Lawrence to convince him about Hopkins, to gather information about her mothers cells to the family. However when Deborah arrive at Hopkins lab she was feeling nervous about seeing her mother’s cells she would of closed her eyes and began to pray. Finally she met a doctor name Christophe walked Guide her and Zakariyya through the lobby at Hopkins.
Deborah and Zakariyya was inside an elevator on their way to the freezer room where the doctor’s kept her mother cells in the lab store where they can go look at them alive under a microscope. When Deborah and Zakariyya got to the freezer the doctor pulled the handle of the freezer and it opened with a hiss, releasing a cloud of steam into the room. Deborah screamed and jumped, behind Zakariyya who stood expressionless, hands in his pockets, and the doctor convince Deborah that it wasn’t dangerous he motioned for her to come closer. Deborah loosened her grip on Zakariyya and inched forward staring at thousands of inch tall plastic vials filled with red liquids which was her mother cells.
Deborah stood stunned for a moment, staring Christophe told her about her mother cells “Hela there are millions or billions of Henrietta” he reached into the freezer, grabbed two vial of Hela cells and held it out to Deborah. Immigration
Historically, there has been ambivalence towards immigration in America. Many immigrants have come to the United States in order to live their life differently, and have a better life with their family, children’s, and working a better job.
First off, the positive aspects of immigration are people that came from another country to the United States they are non citizens with special skills also have the ability to work, help their family, have a better life, and that is the main reason immigrants are willing to do hard work. For example on farms, restaurants, and factories. In Addition, parents send their kids to school in the United States because they think it the best way for them children’s to learn better also being successful on achieving their goals. Finally, immigrants come to the United States for the jobs that pay better so they can send money to their family, kids, and live their life differently from where they came from.
The negatives aspects about immigration are non citizen workers don’t complain if their jobs pay is low, if they are treated badly, and if they are fired. For example, companies often do not give them benefits like paying the workers more money. Most immigrants work even on meager wages, and they also pay taxes. Finally, immigrants would risk their lives and dignity just to find jobs while their countries don’t have anything to offer. They can be considered undocumented but can take the things that actually belong to local citizens.
I personally experience that immigrants have a lot of opportunities, and have the skills to work better than the people who wait for a long time also trying to look for jobs. Therefore, most immigrants that come from another country to the United States would most likely get hired on a job before a person that is a citizen. I believe in the future that immigrants would get better pays in their jobs also having the opportunities to help their family, and kids.
